Paradise!! Rob H. March 2022 We stayed at Astral Villa for a week with our two teenagers (13 and 15) and it was perfect. The villa is very private. You cannot see or hear neighbors, cars etc., and the views are surreal. The villa’s layout was perfect for us. Everyone had their own space, but we could also be together in the common areas for dining, laying out, swimming in the pool, etc. The property was in fantastic condition and was well-appointed. The location is also perfect. Just a few minute drive to beaches and dining options in Coral Bay. Bob, the property manager, was also very kind and accommodating. He checked in on us as needed and even loaned us a piano for my son, who can’t be without one. All of us agreed that we’ll be returning to Astral Villa! I can’t recommend it enough.

Absolutely Amazing! John L. March 2022 Our stay at the Astral Villa was absolutely amazing! From pre-booking to our stay we can’t complement this property enough! Claudia was so responsive in any questions we had and Bob, the caretaker, was so helpful! Our flight was delayed a bit and we got in later than expected. It was so nice to be able to walk into the Villa with everything ready for us. When you see pictures online you think “it can’t be that great!”. Well, let me tell you, the pictures didn’t do this property justice! We can’t wait until we can come and stay again! The beauty of the view, the flowers, the wildlife and the privacy were top notch! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

Panoramic views of paradise from all angles Deanna J. February 2022 Astral Villa is amazing from the top of the driveway steps all the way down and all around! We were blown away by the beautiful landscaping throughout making it feel extra lush and tropical. The sounds of birds at sunrise, the little lizards and occasional iguana strolling out as the sun warmed the patio, and the family of hermit crabs “blocking” the pass throughs between the buildings. The furnishings throughout were very comfortable and well thought out. We wanted for nothing. The book selection throughout the buildings was a treat! So was the complimentary access to the liquor shelf ;). We started each day with sunrise over one of the nearby islands, slow drinking coffee, then drifting into a new beach later each morning. The chairs and cooler provided were brand new and an appreciated touch. The late afternoon return to Astral Villa brought with it a tropical glow with the sun dropping behind the backside of the villa mountaintop. We enjoyed evening cocktails dancing to the music playing from the living room speakers while cooking up delicious dinners. Everywhere you look in Astral Villa is breathtaking. Every view is an amazing view! We are so thankful to have found such a beautiful and well-appointed place to share!

Amazing Ryan W. February 2022 Astral is without question the best travel experience I have had in years. The view is stunning and truly unbeatable. The villa is constructed in a way that all rooms have beautiful views, balconies/porches, private bathrooms, and seating areas. The furnishings are very comfortable and all necessary amenities are there – great kitchen (and even a second kitchen), BBQ, pool, and two spas. It is also incredibly private – we never saw or heard another person around villa for our entire stay. Both Claudia and Bob were great to work with and Bob was always immediately available for any questions. I fully anticipate returning to Astral in the future and would HIGHLY recommend it to family and friends without reservation.

Peaceful, quiet and amazing views! Lisa M. January 2022 We arrived late to the Villa but Bob, property manager, had snacks and drinks for us when we got there. We were to tired to go out and everything closed at 8pm so it meant a lot he went the extra mile for us. He was very helpful and answered our questions and suggested many things as well. He was an added bonus for sure. Villa had the most amazing views. Everything was provided, even the sunscreen. The kitchen was well equipped and we loved the bird food they provided for all the birds. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. I would recommend this Villa to family and friends. Thanks to Claudia and Bob for everything. Thanks for an amazing week.

Paradise in St. John Sam and Crystal F. December 2021 The villa is perfection, they have thought of every detail! They added little touches such as robes in every bedroom, more than enough lounge chairs, beach towels, just perfect! I can’t imagine there is a better view on the island, it is breathtaking and I just couldn’t get enough of it! We are planning on making this an annual trip and can’t wait to go back to St John and beautiful Astral Villa!!!

Amazing villa, pristine views Shamus F. December 2021 Hard to believe that the photos and virtual tour don’t do the villa justice, but that is the truth. The views are remarkable and the villa(s) are fully equipped with luxury amenities. From the appliances to linens, everything is high end. There are three separate sleeping quarters and our family of five (kids are 15,13 and 9) fit perfectly into the space. You are completely isolated so we had no concerns about them sleeping across the property (20 yards away). The villa is a challenge to get to (up a hillside) especially at night but the challenge is part of the St. John experience. We will be back.

Island luxury at its finest! Whelan Family August 2021 Astral villa is one of those places that pictures simply cannot do justice! Our family of 4 adults and one 6 month old baby had an absolutely wonderful stay. Perched high up overlooking Coral Bay, the stunning views coupled with beautiful indoor and outdoor living spaces make this villa truly special. The layout works beautifully for families with young children. The kitchen comes fully equipped for cooking. As others have said, driving is doable but certainly not for the faint of heart!

Beautiful Property – Nice Week Leslie W. July 2021 This property is just gorgeous and the unique layout makes is great for 3 couples or family to have their own space. It is nice to have 2 kitchen areas for morning coffee or just to have some personal space. There are lots of places to hide away in the shade and just watch the horizon and listen to the sounds of the islands. At night the island sounds are everywhere. The chirping geckos and frogs can be heard for miles. The owners pay very special attention to the details and everywhere you turn you can see these little special touches. Upon arrival, it was nice to have a bag of ice and some libations on the shelf for getting settled (we contributed to the shelf upon departure) From the beach towels, chairs, available cooler for the beach to the plush villa linens, nice galley gear, spices and the weber grill… all special touches. The outdoor showers are awesome particularly with a summer visit. This property is high up on the mountain with spectacular views down island and of Coral Bay. The summer colors are spectacular sitting on the patio. The small natural pool is a nice touch to be able to stay cool. This property is “ENTIRELY ALFRESCO” There is no air conditioning anywhere on the property and no glass in the windows but all openings have screens (some sunshades) and some have drop curtains to keep the rain out. Every room has awesome ceiling fans. We experienced no bug problems even though we were here in the heat of the summer (first week in Aug) Those of us who frequent the islands know this is the start of the hottest time of the year so I was a bit concerned about the heat factor. After a pretty warm & still first night the villa host brought down some extra fans which helped. I will say if you have some “artic sleepers” in your group they will not be comfortable here particularly in the summer and shoulder months. I personally enjoyed the open fresh air feeling and with the pool and steady breeze to cool off during the day it was lovely. The main house was always cool with a great breeze and great for congregating. The ride up the mountain requires a 4WD/AWD or at the very least a FWD with good power. It is partially paved/ partially rocky road with steep inclines. After you do it a couple of times it is not as intimidating for sure and certainly worth the trek up the mountain. I loved having the Calabash market at the bottom of the hill, while i would not suggest walking up and down the mountain it is very close and obviously has better quality product We got Ribeyes and chicken breast for the grill there… to die for. While they don’t have everything you may want you could certainly outfit every meal for week from here and if not the Dolphin market just a bit farther up the road. The owners and the host were great, accommodating and easy to find when needed.

Breathtaking views made for amazing vacation! Leah H. July 2021 My husband and I just returned from a week in St John, USVI! We stayed at Astral Villa. It was amazing!!! Our private villa was on the side of a mountain with breathtaking views. It has a private pool and hot tub, full kitchen, comfy bed in master suite, and 2 other bedroom suites if needed (it was just the 2 of us). It was clean, very well appointed, and really had everything we could even think of needing (body wash, extra bug spray, sunscreen, beach towels, beach chairs, filtered water….everything! Claudia, the owner was very responsive prior to the trip via email, and the property manager was very helpful as well. This was also our first time to St John. We flew into St Thomas, rented a Jeep, and took the car ferry over to St. John. St John is a national park, so there was a ton of hiking and beaches to explore! The water was crystal clear and calm. It was perfect for snorkeling and SUP’s. St John is doing a great job with masking. They required a negative covid test there, but since US territory, no test to get back. Masks were required in all public places (and people followed those requirements)! You definitely need a Jeep to drive around, the roads are STEEP!!! I highly recommend St John and Astral Villa!!

Best place in paradise! The Wrobels July 2021 We absolutely loved spending a week with our daughters at this villa. Loved the open concept, being close to nature from every corner of every room, the beautiful landscape and of course the stunning view. We appreciated all the amenities provided too, everything was very well thought out. Coral Bay is the perfect spot to relax away from crowds and the usual tourist hub-bub yet only a quick drive away from the most beautiful beaches. Highly recommend staying close by at Salt Pond Bay for great snorkeling. Planning already our next trip!

The Only Place We Want To Stay on St. John Jason C. May 2021 It’s really hard to find the right words to describe our week at Astral Villa. Incredible, amazing, and plenty more adjectives of great don’t do it justice. We celebrated our 10 year anniversary on St. John, the same place we went on our honeymoon. We wanted to do things differently this trip, villa instead of resort, jeep instead of taxis, Coral Bay instead of Cruz Bay. We were not ready for how incredible Astral Villa would be. The pictures look amazing, but then you get there and Bob walks you around, and you have to pinch yourself. Completely secluded with beautiful views, we do not want to stay anywhere else when we come back. Claudia was so responsive to all our questions and Bob was a great resource for the island as he welcomed us and showed us around the villa. The week went by way too fast, but the pictures and memories will have to hold us over until our next trip. We love St. John and already are planning our return, but we know there is only one place we will be staying from here on out. Thanks Claudia and family for sharing the villa with us, can’t wait to come back!

Breathtaking Ruchir T. January 2021 Nestled up in Calabash boom, Astral Ridge is the cream of the crop of villas in the Coral Bay Area. The views are just breathtaking. The amenities are top notch. The hospitality by Robert McNabb was amazing. The nightly moon rise/star gazing was just spectacular. The winds/breeze made you wonder why someone would not want to live in St. John forever. This villa checked off on all of what we were looking for and more. We couldn’t be happier to have spent 6 nights including New Years at this villa. My wife and I are convinced that there isn’t a place that could top off this visit (6th) to St. John primarily because of our stay at Astral Ridge. We were very happy with our stay would recommend this place with full endorsement.

Awesome Experience Nick L. February 2020 Astral Ridge was a lovely place to stay, and we had a wonderful time. Would recommend unreservedly. The views are spectacular from everywhere (including the hot tub where we spent a lot of time!) the place itself is beautifully designed and looked after, and the location is nice. It’s enough off the beaten track that you get away from the tourists, but close enough to things to still be convenient (there’s a market place about half a mile away for instance). Bob the caretaker was super helpful, set us up with a nice all day sailing outing, and when we had trouble one day with the internet going out he came by the very same day and replaced the router! Really can’t say enough good things about this place.

Fantastic vacation in magical location! Rachel A. January 2019 Our party of 6 (3 couples) had an amazing time vacationing on St. John and staying at the Villa. We loved having the open air feel, separated bedroom quarters, 2 hot tubs, a cooling off pool, and phenomenal views! Bob on site was great. Bob even recommended Harmony Charters for a sailboat outing which was fantastic!! We have stayed on St. John before and this was definitely our favorite villa/location along with the best people to work with. Thanks for a wonderful vacation!!

Perfect Spot Stephanie December 2018 Astral Ridge is an absolutely perfect spot. It has the most amazing view. It’s a gorgeous house with a lot of space, three beautiful bedrooms, two hot tubs, and a small pool. My family of 4 felt like we were in the lap of luxury. It was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Wifi worked great. We loved the east end of the island, which is quieter, and more low-key than Cruz Bay. The beaches in the area are beautiful and less crowded than those on the west end, and there are a number of great restaurants in the neighborhood.
