Welcome to Astral Villa – formerly Astral Ridge – a beautiful and private West Indies style villa with sweeping down island views. This lush property is tucked up high on a flat ridge facing the northeast and peaceful sunrises. The view is spectacular – with nothing between you and the ever-changing colors of the sea and sky. Watch the boats sail into Coral Bay from the palm lined decks.

At Astral Villa, you will enjoy traditional West Indian charm with understated elegance. You will be surrounded by nature with an incredible, ever-changing Caribbean view, tropical breezes, and magical night sounds with stars galore. Enjoy coffee and a stunning sunrise from any of the private outdoor nooks. Bask in the sun poolside with an afternoon rum delight… And witness the moonrise or the galaxy of stars above from one of our 2 spas. Whatever the time of day, the sea and sky present a stunning array of colors for you to enjoy. Watch the storm clouds roll in over the down islands and produce a breathtaking rainbow, only to disappear before you’ve had time to grab your camera.

Our lushly landscaped property offers ample privacy for 2 couples… and adequate privacy for 3. Alternatively, families with older children will love having separate sleeping accommodations, with a communal living and dining space for together time. With covered nooks for reading or snoozing, and expanses of patio or deck for sunning, there is space enough for all.

And while Coral Bay is the “quieter” side of St John, you will find quaint shops, wonderful local, laid back restaurants, and well stocked grocery stores. A quick 10 minute car ride takes you to the world famous North side beaches. Or choose one of the less frequented beaches closer to home – Hansen Bay, Haulover, Salt Pond Beach… all with fabulous snorkeling. Honestly, there are more beaches on this little island than a 1 week’s stay will make possible. They all have their different vibe and features – it’s hard to pick a favorite.

In the mood for world class dining? Just make a reservation at one of the many fabulous restaurants in Cruz Bay. Whatever your fancy, St John has it, if you take the time to look. But one thing you won’t find in St John? Pretense. It just doesn’t exist here – it’s not called Love City for nothing. It’s always easy to spot the vacationers in town at night – they’re the ones wearing pressed trousers or heels! But you’re just as welcome in birkenstocks or a sundress, truly.

And if you prefer eating in, we have a fabulously outfitted kitchen and a new grill for you to cook up a storm. Grab some fresh fish down the hill at Calabash Market, some fresh greens from Josephine’s, and you’ll save yourself a bit of cash and have more time to enjoy the night stars from one of the 2 whirlpool spas. Champagne optional.

OH. And yes, we would be remiss not to mention it’s a bit of an adventure the first time you drive up the hill and down the driveway. But when you see our view from Calabash mountain, you’ll understand…some things are just worth it. And hey, after the first time, the drive really isn’t all that bad. Promise. You will love your stay, just wait and see.
