Miss Lucy’s in Coral Bay (head south towards Salt Pond) is a local owned seaside establishment that “offers a true taste of old St John with fresh and flavorful cuisine with magical ocean”. C’mon, you can’t beat that!
Miss Lucy’s menu includes Caribbean specialhttps://www.facebook.com/people/Miss-Lucys-in-Coral-Bay/100057609242405/ties such as callaloo soup, fresh hot Johnny cakes, roti, conch fritters, and crunchy fish sandwiches among others. But what they’re really famous for… wait for it…, is their Grouper Ruben sandwich! IKR?? They also offer fries with their sandwiches and have frozen drinks. They are generally open for lunch during the week, and happy hour in season. Sometimes they are open for lunch on Saturdays too…
(They used to be famous also for their Sunday brunch with live music – staff challenges during Covid times have put a stop to this, but let’s hope it’s just temporary!)
They also host open-mic night on Thursday nights 5:30-9 and do have food offerings. This means that Thursday’s lunch is usually noon to 2pm, so they can prepare for open-mic night. (Never a bad idea to bring beach chairs in case there’s a crowd!)
Always best to check Facebook for specials or last minute closings –
island t’ings happen!
